| My $100 unseen Ebay buy.
The seller of this 1972 Z50 K3 didn't post any pictures. I placed the first and only bid of $100 and had to drive 400 miles roundtrip to pick it up. It was advertised as running, but I still can't get it to crank. I believe the carb is a replacement. It's missing the body side cover and chainguard. Seat, brake pedal, grips and brake cable aren't correct. Most everything else seems to be there. Mostly pleased, and will be more-so if I can adjust the carb and start it. It will likely a month before I get around to start work on it, but hopefully the kids will have something to ride in the spring. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

If you are creative about your Ebay searches, you can find some interesting stuff for cheap. This little bike was titled something like: "For Auction: Honda Mini - Trail" and in the parts bikes section. Nowhere did it have any keywords like Z50, minitrail, CT70. Plus of course, it had no photos. I think if the seller had even a single photo or added some better search keywords, he would have gotten more money for it (and I wouldn't have got it). Anyway, I love it. Now I have a pair of Gold K3s. |

Looks like it has an early hardtail Z50 front fender on it too.

I already commented on your other thread, but that's a great little bike and I believe your long pickup drive was well worth it. If you run into problems with the carb or ignition when you get around to working on it don't be shy about asking questions or requesting parts trades, etc.
