hey there, had a few questions? i havea 72 z50 that i just put a new 75cc kit on. what carb should i run to take advantage of the added cc's. once i do that, if i throw my fmf powercore4 on it, will it help. what else can i do to it to get soem more hp. i may throw the honda motor in my new bike and put my loncin 50 in the z. any suggestions? |

I would say at least a 20mm w/ a good air filter !!

so you figgure my 75 kit with a 20mm+ carb and my fmf pipe should work good? is there any other great mods for a old z motor?

That should work well ..dont forget jet the carb cause of the pipe !! you can change the a cam and better valve springs and porting . cut the fly wheel (lighter) all depends i guess on how much $ u have to put in to the bike !! a better coil too!! |

woudnt 20mm be a bit overkill for 75cc? lots of topend but no bottom? you should replace the crank with an xr one and then ut a cdi in it a little more reliable than the points IMHO |

a 20mm should be fine...there's not much difference in the bottom end torque between an 18 and 20 mil carb, but the 20 shines up top and is way easier to keep tuned get a 20mm with an 80 - 82 main jet and start there... should be about right for that cc |
