my new 72

few weeks ago i bought a 72 z50 in pretty good shape. had no compression so i stripped it down and did some work.
painted the frame satin black, tank and fork uppers. replaced the fork bushings, pro taper bars, new throttle ass., added a 75cc kit.
still to do is polish the wheels, seat cover and some white hot rod type pinstriping. trim the back fender, get a front fender.
not bad so far.
had the motor on the kitchen table today, put it back together. 5 kicks and it fired right up with the new 75cc kit. has some decent power. rolling in 3rd and give it a shot and the front wheel comes right up.LOL

the wheels will just get a good polish. bought the power ball.LOL

the bar mounts are just off a set of knock off forks that i swapped off my other bike. they bolted right on to the stock tripples.

the 75cc kit is fun.

If so, chances are that you accidently overlapped the corrugated oil ring ends when installing, and since the ring is essentially hooked to itself, it is not conforming to the cylinder wall, and is allowing some oil to bypass, and be burned off. Easy thing to have happen, you just have to take it all apart to undo the rings ends, and that should end your trail of faint blue exhaust smoke.
