| Need gearing help
Perhaps Z can chime in on this one as he seems to be the gearing guru. For my CT70 I will be using an 03 XR50 engine with complete takegawa R-stage 88 kit. I will also be installing a taky 50mm crank, making it a 106 R-stage setup. I think I am going to put an ATC70 4-up trans in as well (anyone know the gear ratios for these?) while I'm doing the crank. With this 106-R 4spd setup what kind of gearing should I be looking at? The terrain here is pretty hilly so that would be a consideration. I am looking for a safe cruise speed of around 50mph.

I was playing with that a bit but there is no ATC/TRX trans. I would imagine they are geared differently than say a CT70H. I also don't know whats realistic with the engine I have. That chart only gives the theoretical mechanical speeds and doesn't account for the power delivery at the given speeds.
