What all is involved in wiring a 99 Z-50 motor with cdi ignition into a 79 Z-50 that has points ignition?

A 12V CDI-type wiring harness with a 12V ignition coil and CDI box to run the 12V CDI-type engine.

You'll need the '99 ignition coil, cdi and harness. Connect the coil to the CDI harness, and the kill switch to the cdi harness, cdi harness to the engine harness and you're done. Dead simple (unless the cdi harness is missing...).

Actually, any XR/CRF50 electricals would work, as well, the connections are identical.
