Hey fellas, Is there anyway that the neutral pickup position can be adjusted, just annoying that my neutral light does not come on when I am in neutral, if I press down on the gear change until I can feel first gear the neutral comes on. Help appreciated, Victor |

Victor, You'll have to take apart your gearbox as the metal tab on your shift drum has come out of place and is now activating in 1st gear rather then neutral. It's a copper ring with a tab, that has another locating tab that bends and holds itself in place. The locating tab gets bent or breaks off causing your neutral lamp to illuminate in the wrong gear. Complete engine teardown to fix properly. Or, put your bike in neutral, remove the neutral lamp switch from the side case, and get a small screwdriver and see if you can slightly relocated the tab to the correct position through the hole in your case then reinstall your neutral lamp switch. Well I'll live with it for the time being, I'm not going to tear it down for just that............ May try the popping neutral switch out as suggested. Its not activating in 1st just when you rest on top of first whilst still in neutral, cant have moved much......???? Victor |
