New paint job

My dad stopped by my shop today and we prepped and painted my z50 wheels and his atc70 tank and forks in a bright red basecoat/clearcoat. The decals on his tank are under the clear. This was my first experience with base/clear as I've always shot enamels or urethanes. Total cost of paint was about $100 and should be well worth it in the long run as this stuff should be very durable.

Thanks! I know it's not a minibike, but it's a Honda and it's a 70 Anyway, here is a pic of the near-finished trike. I still have to get the carb, cables, footpegs, etc. hooked up and I need another seat pan or NOS seat. Anybody have one?

I've got another couple months of work to get my z50 this far along.

Nice job on the ATC70!! That is a first year with the flamed tank decal right? Personal favorite. I have an 85 ATC70 that I will be restoring. Last year for it. Great work! Love the suicide shifter! I am workin on for a rat rod style Z50.

Thanks for the compliments guys!

Razzo,

You are correct that the flame decals are for the first and second year models ('73 & '74) but it's an '81 model. I just thought the flames looked better compared to the original tank decals. As for the suicide shifter, it took a fair amount of tinkering to get the linkage worked out just right, but it seems to work well.

BTW, I look forward to seeing some pics of the 50 that you mentioned above. I really like all of your old school bikes.
