who has built any realy cool z50's of this era?i have only previously been into the 79-87' version's.can i just bolt on the crf top end parts to this engine?i know my 82' had diff # crank/cam gear teeth.i think i will make this my moto z,and finish my 82' as a resto-mod w street tires.anybody using the new tb z exhaust?considering that or the pro-circuit.or what about a low mount on the 82' anybody have pics of one with a low mount exh? thanks for any help/info |

well took my engine out today, and removed top end expecting the worst, but ended up not to bad.it mnust have sat outside,or somewhere damp for a long time with the engine on the exh stroke-the cylinder was rusted up,valves.had to use rubber mallet to get cyclinder off.tommorrow i will break everything down and insp.-first i am going to get it running cheap-reuse gaskets, scotchbrite piston, hone cylinder, inspect head, valve job,microport,klx110 oem carb, port match, cheap exhaust, etc.whatever cheap perf parts i can find.i want to dyno the bike, then each addition to see what parts/mods did what. THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP/ADVICE Last edited by jrotten; 03-25-2009 at 09:38 PM. |
