Whats the point of putting a knockoff motor in every thing, I just dont understand taking a complete bike and good motor to put in some knockoff that doesnt fit right and you have to grind and drill, not what Im looking to do, want to keep all bikes complete if possible.
Im not going to be taking this thing to my local indoor track. lol just looking for someone that maybe has one and some pics of their bike or any info.

I had one of those brand new in 1970! Purchased it with funds from my first job. Mine was green just like that. I have great memories of the bike. Fun to ride, not overly powerful but a great trail rider. I was riding with my cousins on Hodakas at the time and the bike had no real problems keeping up. The Hodakas were quicker, but on the trail riding we were doing, it was fine.

I would love to find one in that condition or better. If it has a title, it is easily a $200 bike. Without a title, maybe $100? Really depends on what you want, and I have no idea how hard parts are to find for them.

You got that right buddy! That is a 85% complete Honda. Keep it Honda. Save the mods CRF/XR50's. They're nothing but cheap plastic and decals. That is definitely a bike worth keeping original and restoring. Would also make a great rider and a real piece of Honda history.

For parts, try Northeast Vintage. Also there are many sites out to try. Just "Google" Honda SL100. You will see.

Yeah. That bike doesn't look like it's in bad condition. I don't know much about the bikes so I don't know if it's complete, but I don't see any rust at all! So I'd say between $200 and $300. Closer to $300 if it runs and has the title.

I think a 12V CRF100 motor in that bike would be the best of both worlds. You'd have the electronic CDI, could add a lighting coil and could convert it to today's updated technology with lots and lots of tuning parts at your disposal.

That would be a fun bike to build and ride.
