I just rebuilt the top end on my '80 Z and I have a good oil leak when running. Appears to be between cyl and head. I'm sure the o-ring was in correct location, but I do remember one of the o-rings had a "step" in the surface and one did not. I didn't see a difference in either location, so I guessed which went where. The gaskets were not oem. Any ideas? I'm going to take it apart anyhow but would like some input from those who know!
ps, being so anal about it, I did check the orings several times before I slid the head and cylinder down tight, and mounting areas were hospital clean.
