picked up a ct70 today

I picked this 76 ct70 up today. It had no spark when it was taken apart i was told. The stator is junk. it appears to be mostly there except for the lights. I'm thinking about putting the motor in my z50 or trading it for a hopped up motor for the z50.

Would the stator/magneto off of my 86 z50r fit on this 70cc engine ? If so i may try to put this motor on the z and keep the rest around for a later project

I paid a whopping $50 for her. my buddy offered me my money back for the bike minus the engine and carb , but i'm not sure if i will sell it or put it aside for a 125cc project later

Love the exhaust. And $50 is a steal! I answered your stator question in the other thread you started.

Yeah the exaust guard is super getto. I hate to beat it but it needs quite a bit to be "nice". The handle bars need replaced and the stator, all new lights and maby get that sweet exaust cover chromed. I may talk to my uncle whom has a half dozen ct70's and see what kind of extra parts he has and go from there. I'ts funny, two weeks ago i had no mini bikes and now i have three. i think i have a problem and see many more in my future
