Pictures and more Qs

I looked at the bike again and asked several people what color is it? Half say blue and the other half green, it is some kind of torquoise color, is it the Hawaii blue that I saw in another thread?
What battery does the 1970 model take? Yuasa part number or similar would be much appreciated as none of my books go back past 1974.
I have seen some really cheapie fenders on Ebay from a seller in Ohio, how bad are those fit wise and quality wise?

My Mood: Drunk
Well, this is what a hawaiian metallic blue looks like:

The CT70 seems to have a bit more of a greener tint.

The best I can do from an '05 Parts Unlimited catalog is for a 1972 CT70 with a Yuasa battery number: Y6N2A-2C-3, and a picture of the CT70H from the Honda Motorcycle Identification Guide.

That's Candy Blue Green. Custom paint the bike in the color of your choice when you redo it. Seriously. Don't get hung up on 100 point restorations as it will drive you insane.

I had mine painted Kandy Sapphire Blue with Kandy Pagen Gold dusted underneath the blue to change the hue, and had 2 coats of pearl and two coats of clear when I did this bike 10 years ago before all the Japanese parts made their way over here. And sold the bike for $3500 to boot.

I am not painting the bike, I just need to paint a headlight bucket to match the bike. This is not a complete 100 point restoration, the owner specified that it is not going to a museum but rather back to his "kids" who are much older now and would appreciate having the bike back. This bike needs to leave my shop looking presentable and in excellent mechanical condition. You guys have much nicer bikes than this one will be. I am waiting for one of my customer's to drop me off a frame to do up for myself. He has I think 9 CT70s and I have put at least rings and points on 6 of them and this extra frame that he has will be the starting point for my own long term project. My shop does not perform cosmetic work, just mechanical but I have worked in a body shop before so I will take my time and maybe next year my own bike will be ready.
