| Polishing a Turd...
Some of you know that I like to run inverted forks on my CT70. I have run the cheapies from ebay, a set of RCM's and was not satisfied. I then upgraded to Fast Ace AS03 and before I even rode them 1 mile, I got a killer deal on AS02 with adjustable compression and rebound. Well the one thing I don't like about them is that they are black and ruin the bling factor on my bike. So, here's what I did... I purchased some Lye and dunked the trees. Then I broke out the Tripoli compound on my buffing wheel. Check it out! I plan on doing this with the bottom trees as well. I am going to strip the fork tubes, but not sure if I will polish them. I may leave them in natural aluminum. Behold..you can polish a turd! I can see my reflection in these. |
