d0n... If the red Z50R does not sell. I am still interested in the ZB wiring harness & motor.
Read this PM announcement from Nick.

Tmas, I appreciate that you're interested in the parts but there's just no way I would part this bike out. With no engine or wiring harness the bike would be basically worthless.

I've got over $500 into just the engine and wiring harness. $500 is my reserve on the auction.

Re: Put the Z50R's on ebay

I got a line on a local 1982 Honda MB5 for my next winter project. It's the red one. That's the only reason I put the Z's on ebay. I need the extra room in the basement.

Looks like this one

Re: Put the Z50R's on ebay

How did you post in my post? And... What's a CLAMSHELL?

The MB needs a gas tank I think. I'm told it's nasty inside and does have a hole on the bottom. Honda doesn't have any $210 "helios red" tanks availible. Only black or white.

Gotta go look at it this weekend to see if it's a viable winter project.

Thats weird ^^^^.... d0n, clamshell is the left side bar controls, clutch lever and all the controls (horn, signal, HI-LO beam switches.)

Don,

Sorry about that. I hit edit instead of "quote". I'll get rid of my comments. A clamshell is the left hand lighting controls.

damn Dan, you got the power!

I hope I dont need the clamshell but thanks for the offer !

I set the reserve for the white z50r at $1000. I doubt it'll reach that amount but I'd love to see it.

Thanks guys!

That is an odd looking bike. It's almost a moped.

It sucks that you have to sell your Zs. I have yet to see another one like that black and white one.

It probably won't sell since the reserve is $1000. The reserve is less money than I have into it but more than it may be "worth" to someone else. We'll see.

The state of this industry and bad timing IMO. People just spent a lot of money on other things since it's Christmas time.

Yeah what are you plans for the MB5? I had one for a long time and sold it off, don't really miss it. It was a weird bike that never really had the "look"

Hey dOn. On the 1984 z50r that you had on ebay, where did you buy that headlight assembly? I love it.

I really like the white bike, looks like another build inspiration for me. I wish you were closer and I had some more Christmas money.

Re: Put the Z50R's on ebay

Hey dOn. I just bought a brand new DHH head light assembly for my Honda z50 and I haven't even plugged it in yet. Would you have any interest in trading head light assemblies? Mine would look real nice on your bike. It's black and where a number would go, that part is white. It has one large bulb, not the two bulb set up you have on your white bike. Let me know and I can send you a picture. Thanks, Gary.
