| QA50 Parts sites/etc ?
Picked up a QA50 from my boss a lil while back and havent got to touch it yet, but i'm down and out from surgery for a while so I think i'm gonna start tearing into it... It's in decent shape, but I need some odds and ends here and there so I was wondering if you guys had some suggestions for sites with info/parts/etc? I know i'm going to have to tear into the engine as well since its not running at the moment, so i've been debating on just a simple rebuild or try something different with an engine swap haha. I've searched on here and around and found a couple sites like dratv, and a couple others but there has got to be some more info/sites out there some where. Thanks in advance for the help guys, I really appreciate it. |

Did you try here? Aftermarket and Reproduction parts for Honda QA50 K0 K1 K2 K3 plastic fenders, cables, seat cover and foam, tires, brakes, decals QA 50 I love QA50s and hope to find one for myself one day. How about some photos of your bike posted up here? Maybe even start a "let's see everyone's QA50" thread. It would be less populated than threads for other models, but still. Get the stock motor going if you can. And keep your eyes open for parts bikes! |

Thanks a ton for posting that link, thats one of the sites I lost the link to and have been looking for... Yeah I had really never heard much about them, and working at a Honda dealer we have some people bring a bunch of old bikes here trying to sell and the owner here snatched it up before I could look at it and then I talked him out of it lol. I'll get some pics up here in the next couple days for sure before I tear her down, been meaning to snatch some for a while. Thats a thread I was hoping to find when I did my searching was a QA pic thread so I might just have to start one when I get some shots. Yeah i'm really hoping to get the stock lil pushrod engine running... Quote: Oooo, thats a new one too. I hesitated posting up asking for sites, but man i'm glad I did. Because alot of this stuff i've been digging up on our fiches here at work and like you'd figure most of it is not available. | ||

Is your tranny OK? They are notoriously un-honda like.

| Re: QA50 Parts sites/etc ? Dont know yet sadly lol. I've read about the 2nd gear slipping/etc issue so i've got my fingers crossed, probably going to go ahead and pick up the "fix it" kit but then i've read that after a certain VIN # range they were fixed from Honda. So not 100% sure what I want to do, i'd hate to get it back together to find out theres an issue so i'll probably act like it has the issue and go from there... |

Hey guys, saw your thread and thought I'd share some pics of my 1970 QA 50. I'm actually in the process of selling it and if you check my craigslist add I have a link to the bike idling. I've also provided some websites to help you with your part finding mission! http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h1...1970QA5011.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h1...1970QA5012.jpg 1970 Honda QA 50 QA50 Rare Collectors Bike Z50 Monkey Bike Trail 50 http://www.hondanuts.com/qa50.html http://www.re-mx.com/qa50/honda_qa50_parts.php http://www.theatvshop.com/.sc/ms/cat/Honda%20QA50%20Parts--Motor%20Parts http://dratv.com/qa50.html http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmotorcycles/honda-motorcycle-qa50-1971/o/m9163 |

My Mood: | QA50 resurrection, need your mechancial experience..
Can someone read this service bulletin for me and confirm that the fix does not require "splitting the cases"? Splitting the cases, in my opinion, would require removing the top end....and I dont want to do that if possible. http://www.re-mx.com/qa50/files/QA50...e_Bulletin.pdf I believe that it doesn't require splitting the cases and I was misled by a vendor site that performs the service only - will not sell the parts. Any help is appreciated! |
