How big is a stock Z50 intake valve? 23mm?

no..about 19mm. The E22/crf70 heads are about 23mm.

Depends on the year. Z50's used three different heads over the years.

Yadi, coming as soon as my camera batteries charge up will be comparative photos of a stock 6V 50 head, 6V 70 head and a 12V head, actually off a Chinese 110 but I think you'll be able to see the combustion chamber differences and why I think your new head is 12V 70 style. I'll put it in your other thread...

I keep on forgetting he's got a 69'. The 19mm I measured is for the newer 12v heads.

The intake on what I believe is a 69 head, appears to be 23 mm or bigger. Not easy measuring it when its in the head. Does that sound stock?

Yes, the early('69-'81) Z50A heads have 23/20 valves
