| rear end setup
I've been having a blast wheeling around on my little 73' z50 k3. I'm still in the process of clearing a little over a half acre and building a pretty aggressive mini track, mainly to use with my newer, better equipped mini. I really need to beef up the z50 because I know I'm going to want to hit the track with it. I just picked up a set of xr50 forks with heavy springs, and +1 hd forks for the front of the z50. What's a good priced set of shocks that I'll be happy with in the long run. I'm a little shy of 200lbs. The bike has a stock rear swinger. The kitaco style shock just seems kinda generic. I'm willing to throw a little $$$ into this bike. But of course I don't wanna throw all my $$$ at it. any sugestions? |

1.) If it's indeed a 1973 z50a, it is considered a K4.. Not a K3 (72). Just thought you should know this.. 2) What is your budget? I'd recommend the following in terms of price, looks, and quality.. Under $100? - TB Shocks Over $100? - Daytonas Over $10000? - Solid Gold MC Hammer Z Shocks (You can't touch these!) |

i run the tb shocks on my z, they are pretty nice for street cruising, but may bottom out too easy for 200 lb rider doing aggressive riding on them
