rear wheel bearings

Has anyone done rear wheel bearings? Do they press out or can you do it without a press? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I changed mine with a brass punch and a hammer. An appropriately sized socket will work too.

I large c-clamp can be a good substitute for a press too. There wasn't anything on my bike that I needed a press for and I've gone through everything.

You can remove them with a punch and a hammer. You'll knock them out from the opposite side. You can move the spacer over just enough to get a lip and carefully pound them out.

You can reinstall them with a socket of the same OD as the bearing and carefully tap them back in..

Fiddy of the Month

I got a bearing puller kit off ebay. I used it when i anodized my XR50 billet rims. Also worked well with changing out the bearings on my NSR rims.
