repro headtube vin tags ct and z

thought i would share this with you guys cause i know some of the vin tags get messed up with the years so here you go. after you buy it now you give the guy the born on date and your vin and he print it on. it reads exactly the same as original and its printed on aluminum too. the one on my frame looks pretty good but if it were crap id probably buy one of these. only 30 bucks

Pretty cool, Thanks, I actually saved both original vin tags from 2 Honda's I restored. To remove them I ground off/drilled out, the little rivets. I was thinking of just trying to glue them back on. But I like the Ebay idea.

If I'm not mistaken, Jerry is a member here but doesn't post very often.

Is there a known item for replacing the rivets/fasteners? I have my stock plate and am looking for a way to replicate the stock fasteners.

It would be nice if you could get a real thin piece of 3-m double tape to apply it. I just don't know how thin it comes. Anyone ever try gluing one on?

you could probably use some jb weld or super glue. if you glue it on you could glue on some rivet heads too haha

You need to check with Jerry. I think these are stickers not an actual plate. I was thinking of looking for some thin aluminum sheeting & cutting then putting a sticker from Jerry on it. I have heard of people using brass brads & automotive trim adhesive tape.
