Resto begins!

Hey guys so I bought a "rolling chassis" 95 Z50R a few weeks back and got bored the other day so the restoration began! He's what I got so far

The first pic is how it was when I got i and the second is the newly painted frame

Big fan of the Z50r here too! I have a 91 ,95 and 96. Looks good! Keep us posted on your progress. 2nd the vote, Honda Motor only!! I have a few extra parts if need any.

Thanx guys. I'm from the Chicago area. And motor plans are...I have no idea!! haha. right now I'm in dispute with that Minisrock character thru another board cause I didnt know about his bad rep b4 hand. But besides that I have no idea I wouldnt mind just throwin a stock motor in it so if anyone has anything let me know

Razzo, I have a 98 z I'm trying to restore and cant seem to find any rims for it, mine are bent to hell. Any help in the right direction would be nice.

Last time I checked, the OEM rim halves were pretty reasonable, unless your looking to upgrade.

Skindonor had some complete wheelsets from his RC90X thing that are chrome Z50 style. I think he was selling both wheels for like 60 maybe?

YES THE OEM ARE STILL AVAILABLE. I HAVE PURCHASED THE KITACO 8' ALUM. WHEELS FOR SOME OF MINE. THEY LOOK SWEET. LESS ROLLING MASS FOR THOSE BIG 1/4 MILE DRAGS! HAHA! G-CRAFT MAKE SOME EXCELLENT WHEELS ALSO. I HAVE THE 3.25 X 8 (STOCK IS 2.75 X ON THE REAR OF MY 96 Z50R 88CC. AND RUN A KINGS TIRE 4.00-8" (STOCK 3.50-8"). NO CLEARANCE PROBLEMS. SOME OF THE CHINESE MONKEY BIKE CHROME RIMS WILL FIT TOO AS LONG AS THEY HAVE THE 3-BOLT HUB. TRY SOME OEM RIMS AND POWDER COAT THEM IN A COOL COLOR! YOU CAN SEE THE G-CRAFTS AND KITACO ON MY BIKES AT RAZZOMOTO.COM - MY BIKES GALLERY. HOPE THIS HELPED!

Dude I just checked out your site!! Your my hero!! Lots of minibikes and posters of hot girls. Doesnt get much better than that bro. Not too far away either. May have to look you up sometime.
