well here http://www.planetminis.com/14/my-197...a-98183-2.html i'm at the last post just got my lifan 125 the day it came in via ups i'm pretty sure i was all smiles. well the next day i got it running but it up and quit giving spark my dad says he doesn't think it's the pick up coil but the coil behind the fly wheel. i also need a clutch cable and exhaust. So my question is where can i get a good cheap up swept [like stock one] exhaust for a good deal like under 200 maybe 200 shipped where can i geta clutch cable mine doesn't have enough slack in it. and what about the ignition we never did ground anything just hooked up like colored wires and assume the engine was grounded. any diagrams? ANY help would be appreciated. i'v been waiting for like 10 years for a minibike of my own. i'm now 18 going on 19, i think i might need help. please and thank you Chris .J |

ther should be a ground wire in the harness somewher. i think its green in the stock one and it should be the only wire with a ring terminal on the end of it. that should probably fix the spark problem

Another member on here, named Oilspot, told me his family has a Z50 with a larger chinese motor--I think it's either a 110 or 125--and that it actually runs pretty good through the stock exhaust, with the right jetting. He said it's got plenty of power to be an exciting minibike anyway, and it's nice and quiet. If your stock pipe isn't trashed, you ought to at least try it. I'm going to do you the favor of not suggesting anything about your wiring issues. You'll be miles ahead if I stay quiet on that one. |

Make sure the ignition coil is well grounded where it is bolted to the frame, and be sure the spark plug boot is threaded oll the way on the coil wire. As far as using the stock pipe on a 125cc engine, I wouldn't recommend it, way too restrictive on the engine, in my opinion.

How exactly do you have it wired up now ? Did the Lifan engine come with its own wire harness, CDI box and coil ? It looks like you have the original 6V coil still on the bike in your other post. Need more info and maybe we can help.

yeah the engine came with all that stuff, i changed everything over to lifan. like wires are matched blue to blue green to green black to black etc. the coil and cdi box are are hooked up via the wiring harness that came with the engine. any way to test the stator coils or the pick up coil?
