Spark plugs are cheap....Stock size NGK is a CR-7HS plug. I think an 82 CT70 has points. First thing I would do is to determine if there is spark or no spark. So pull the plug from the cylinder and have the plug connected to the ignition coil and get your buddy to kick the bike over while you hold the plug (what where your holding so you dont get zapped). Either you will see spark or not. In either case I would first check the points, if there isnt a spark then I would check the coil (ohm the coil out). If there is a spark then I would move on to fuel and air.

Ya, you might as well just get a new one... If it was me, i would check the points out. Either order some new ones, or file the old ones.
