| ?Steering Stem Ball Race Removal?
I know, I know. I'm full of questions. But I'm getting to know these little fiddys pretty good inside and out now so I should be able to help others the way you guys have helped me. This one is on the steering stem ball bearing races on the front of the frame. One on top and one on bottom of the frame. Are those just pressed in? I tapped on them a little and they didn't just pop out so I'm afraid to bang on them harder. Do I need to heat up the frame with a torch to pop them out? Thanks for the help on this -Beerbatter... |

ya their just pressed in. i use a long socket extension and a hammer and tap them out. dont be to rough with them though because they will break... just tap as close to the outer edge as you can where its strongest.

Just use a punch or a good screwdriver to knock them out. Oh yeah, wear safety glasses. You never know.
