street tires for Z50?

I just got a Z50 hardtail and I want to get some street tires for it. Im going to be running an xr50 front end on it, so I can get a supermoto tire for that, but are there any tires like that available for the stock rims to tide me over till I can afford the new front end?

Also, how do I determine the year of my Z50?

Look at the frame number and compare it to this page.

My Mood: Relaxed
I dont think an XR50 front end will work on a hardtail. They have a longer steering tube on the frame.

I looked up my frame numbers on that ID guide and they were all below the other numbers. The number H98484 is engraved into the frame and forks, and im assuming that is the frame number. There are two sets of number on the engine: QA50E-B and A05277. Can anyone help me figure this out? Would pictures help?

You have a QA50, not Z50. It has 5" tires from the factory and a 2 speed gearbox. 4.00X5's where the stock tires.

I think I have given up on the 50 forks, they dont fit. Will a Lifan or Zongshen engine fit into my QA50?

No, the standard CRF50 or import equivalent will not fit unless you fabricate new motor mounts. They have potential, but it's going to cost you a ton of time and energy on a bike that was built by Honda for 3-5 year old kids. It's a tiny, tiny bike.

like what kind of changes to the motor mounts are we talking about? I have a friend that builds rock crawlers and I dont think it would be too far out of his reach. Would I be able to use an exhaust off of anything or would I have to fab that also?

You'd have to custom fab the front motor mount from scratch and run a custom exhaust. You wouldn't be able to run a front fender. tiresnstuff.com sell the 4.00X5 dirt tires and tubes for the QA50.
