| Stretching a hardtail?
Has anyone added a few inches length to a hardtail frame? Was thinking the rear axle ears would be the easiest place? Its flat stock back there & wouldn't have to mess with tubing &/or bending anything. I just want to add enough to center the rear wheel under the fender & make the frontend a little heavier for this Lifan. Probably 2" ??? Appreciate any input! |

maybe you'll get better result by cutting/extending the frame right under the gaz tank. everything is possible... just do it! |

That yellow job is sweet lol I'm going to go ahead & extend the rear ears on this one then, use some thicker flat stock for some added strength. Extending under the tank worries me some, don't want a motovert hardtail lol Next project is going to be a custom frame for sure... cheers |
