hi pal if your after a superhead +R (2sm),, tjr also now do the 4sm version of the +R head which is 30mm, 24,5mm valves standard (the head off the take' private 138 motors!) as brad said tjr have done the work so it fits nice-engine with ease, |

Takegawa is expensive and TJR did the mods so you can drop it over the nice studs. (And use a nice type cam sprocket) Example, +R head without camshaft : http://www.daxdodo.com/catalog/produ...roducts_id=514 Last edited by nielspbr; 09-18-2009 at 09:18 AM. |

yes any of the superhead +R cams fit, the decompression function is becoming increasingly popular with nices as there so hard to start (compression wise) if you dont rotate just past top dead centre before you kick ,my motor kicks back !! this is really the starting procedure you should use every time you start a high power motor before i knew this my friend who weighs in at 17stone and myself at 14st were in turn suspended in mid-air on the kick start attempting to start the thing!!! the cost of the +R heads vary greatly minimob usa works out to £320 without cam ,covers rockers (which adds 150 more so around (£450) still not modified tjr works out with rockers and covers, modified ,no cam £600 / 700 euro daxdodo works out same as tjr spec £630 hope this is of help Last edited by Adam z50+R; 09-19-2009 at 03:09 AM. |

usually the cam sprocket area and sometimes the studs need modding to fit i personally have not yet attempted the conversion ideally contact tjr and hot-shot-monkeys ask them regarding mods, also check out the workshop gallery on hot-shot website ,there are pics of the cylinder head mods they may be a little quiet regarding the work, as its there buisness if you have the nice head gasket / nice cylinder and +R head why not assemble it off the motor cases just cylinder to head in hand and please post pics |
