| Is there a Chain rail for z50's?
Good day. I just put larger shocks on my 94 z50 and now I noticed the chain is hitting or rubbing against the swing arm. Is there a company that makes a chain rail for these bikes or does anyone have any ideas how I can rig something up to prevent this from happening. Some kind of Nylon? Also, the chain tension changes quite a bit from when I sit on the bike and get off the bike. It's pretty loose when I'm off the bike but seems O Kay when I'm sitting on it. I thought there might also be some kind of roller that is spring loaded and adjusts automatically? HELP???

Dearest Mr. jigracing sir. Where did you get your chain rail that's on your z50? I just put larger shocks on my 94 z50 and the chain seems to be hitting the swing arm and it's loose when I'm not sitting on it. I posted this question on the forum and another member suggested I asked you and showed me a picture of you bike. That's the exact chain rail set up that I'd like. Please let me know when you have a chance. Thanks, grw66, (Gary). P.S. Camp is great. We went out on a canoe today. Jimmy was scared but we all told him he'd be O Kay. Tell mom and dad I miss them and give my sister a big smack on the head for me. P.P.S. I caught a toad today. His name is Mr. Toad. |

Here's what I did to mine.It is a CHP chain roller, and an elcheapo Egay chain slider attached with zip ties.I don't know how well the chain slider will hold up.I finished this bike some time ago but it has been way too cold here to ride.I'll find out in spring how well it will work, but that's a while off.

In hind sight,I think the Joker Machine chain roller would have been a better investment.

Looks pretty interesting. I thought that the rollers we suppose to be spring loaded to keep tension on the chain but I guess it really doesn't matter. I'll look into the Joker one you spoke of and also Mr. jigracing PMed me on how he made his. Thanks a lot guys.
