| Thrust washers in 4 sp 6v tranny cases
Hello, I have taken apart and assembled many 3 speed Ct70 engines. These engines have a single thrust washer on the main and counter shafts. I recently aquired a '70 CT70 4 speed, and took it apart. Upon re-assembly, I found these only have 1 thrust washer. Is this correct? Should the 4 speed trannys have 2 thrust washers just like the 3 speeds do? Thanks in advance..DB

Here's a '71 CT70H trans diagram, so you can see where everything is located. It looks like part #13 is the only thrust washer used. |

thanks! It just seams like there is too much end play, but then again, there are no specs that I can find the check it. Must be that 3 speeds and 4 speed manuals are different. Thanks again!
