My Mood: | TONS of dirt inside of the small outer clutch cover.
Well I'm in the process of tearing down my bike for some mods and a much needed cleaning and during the clutch disassembly I noticed there was a crap load of dirt and grime behind the small outer clutch cover(the one that covers the clutch nut). Is this supposed to be normal or should I be worried? How the heck did it even get in there? I didn't see dirt anywhere outside of that so wasn't too worried but I did notice a lot of sludge on the bottom and small rubber pieces on my oil filter screen. What could that be?

Crank mounted clutch? You have just found your centrifugal oil filter |

Sooo dirty particles filter to that area or was that last statement full of sarcasm? If that's true about what you said then I'm amazed at how my engine can still be running. It is ALOT of caked dirt.

It's true! Not sarcasm.
