Treasure find...

How much do you think will this be worth? A NOS Honda Z50A K2 General Export.

Re: Treasure find...

It is not a true NOS bike as I can see where bolts have been taken off and stuff that has been adjusted.

Is this a bike that was restored and claiming that its NOS.

If so really nice bike and worth a couple of bucks. But I dont beleive its been sitting in its original state as new and NOS. That pinched wire at the seat mount wont last long.

What is the asking price???

You haven't seen the bike personally and you're already saying that it's not a true NOS . FYI, This bike is not restored. If you don't believe in it, I won't force you to. Btw, there's no pinched wire in this bike and there's no asking price for this.

Do you think this is restored?

Restored, NOS or otherwise; that bike is beautiful. Mine looked like that...once, a long time ago. When I still wore diapers and cool plaid early 70s little-kid pants. Wow! Cool pics!

Re: Treasure find...

Were the hardtails spec'd with IRC tires? The majority I've seen were Nitto or Bridgestone...

Still a nice bike.

Re: Treasure find...

Very sweet bike, but I have a very hard time beleiving that's NOS.

Do you care to explain where and how you found it? Maybe you could prove to us it's not restored.

Re: Treasure find...

/piling on mode on

It has the super rare and much coveted fuel filter on the carb...
Honda also oversprayed the bottoms of the tanks. Look at an original tank here:

69 HONDA Z50 MINI TRAIL Z 50 K1 GAS TANK OEM ORIGINAL :eBay Motors (item 220504249816 end time Nov-08-09 15:58:36 PST)

/piling on mode off

We'll call it a nice resto with original parts rather then a zero mile original bike and shouldn't be classified as such which may or may not be the original intent of Goldie, our Filipino forum counterpart.

Most of my hardtails came from the US and most of the tires were Nitto but that was for the K0 & K1 models. This bike is a 1972-1973 K2 General Export model. All of the bikes that were released here (1972-1974) had an IRC already and we never encountered a single bike with Nitto or Bridgestone.

As I have said I won't force anyone to believe in it that it is a NOS bike but to see is to believe

The bike was brought in from Japan a few months ago, It still has it's pricetag when she bought it in Japan. It was disassembled when it came here and my friend (not an expert in bikes) had to assemble it hence the backwards master link clip

Here's more detailed pics of the K2

The fuel filter was just added by a friend because the tank had some speck of rust inside. Again this is not a K1 US model but a K2 General Export model. For me, I believe it is a NOS bike but if all of you insist it is a Resto then it is. Check this gallery again and you'll be the judge if it's a NOS or Resto.
