| update on the search for upgraded forks for the z
i am still determined to put a set of 27mm sp-5 bbr type forks on my z and i think i may have found something. http://www.takegawa.nl/img/big.php?id=980 i think i can use these to mount the forks and may have to have holes drilled to mount the one piece style handlebars since these have the mounts for the monkey bars. the problem is i need a bottom clamp or will they fit through the stock clamp? if they did the only problem is they would be floating in the lower clamp or i would have to make a way to bolt them tight to the lower mount. what does everyone think am i on to something? i found a whole 27mm setup on monkeybike.uk but the forks arent ment for dirt and jumping and i only want the triples. i sent monkeybike an email and have not gotten a response and its been over a week. talked to chp and they can get them if i get them a takegawa part number. has anyone delt with monkeybike.uk? has anyone ever talked to them on the phone? heres the fork setup they have that i could use the triples from. http://www.monkeybike.co.uk/acatalog..._Disc_Kit.html |
