| Upgraded Carb w/ stock motor? 22mm Too Big?
I would like to upgrade the carb and filter on my stock 96 z50r motor, but would like to buy something that will work if I do a 88cc bore later. Is 22mm too big?

I wouldnt go anything over 17 or 18mm with a stock motor, and truthfully i think that would still be over kill. Save the money you have now for that carb and just buy a 88 kit that comes with a carb. If you desperatly need a new carb now, look around on ebay, stock 50 carbs come up cheap.

I'd have to say yes too. a 22mm was the largest I could run on my 125 loncin. Anything bigger and it was over carbed. I can't imagine running a 22mm on a 50cc?! Maybe it would work fine on an 88 though.
