My Mood: | Vee Rubber V217 tire
Ok so I bought a Vee Rubber V217 tire this morning as I was tooling around ebay. I got a good deal on it and it is the size was looking for for the front of my bike. I searched on the internet about them but found little info. Do any of you know or have insight to how well these tires work? I dont have much in it so if theyre junk Im not going to sweat it but from what I could find there are a lot of them being used in Europe. Problem is I cant translate the various forums that I found them mentioned on. Any info. is appreciated!

Hello, A lot of riders run these on their mini motos in Ontario Canada, like them, and are competitive. A good alternative to more expensive PMT tires. I ride PMT T40's & T41's and the grip level with the T41 medium compound is amazing. I find my T40's are a little too hard, but great for those hot summer track days and will last all season. Seems the V217's are somewhere in between the T40 and T41 compound hardness. Riders in the U.K. were complaining about shedding tires in one race meet, but they were a softer compound. I believe the V217 is the medium compound and will hold up well. New Vee Rubber Mini Moto Tyres - MiniMotoClub Cheers, Greg |

grm- thanks for the info. I'm glad the compound isn't to soft as it is going on the front of my CT70 project. I got it in 100-80-10 and it will be working with the SL26 I have on the back thats 120/70-10. Should look right! I really like the SL26 Pirelli so far but the cheap tire I have on the front is both hard as a rock and ugly. I used the SL26's on my crf50 based motard back in the day ,till the TT91's moved in,with good results. I have a habit of working the front tires on every bike Ive owned and want something that will stick. I'll throw a pic on here once it shows and is bolted on also with a ride report. I love hearing the footpegs scrape as Im making turns around town. Just hope they dont snag on something someday and send me for a gainer onto the pavement.
