| Best way to ship a bike???
I'm trying to have someone send me a Honda z50 from the west coast to the east coast and this person wants me to find out who and how to do it. He said that he has no problem crating it up for me and I've read that a lot of you guys have used DHL in the past but I called DHL and there acting like I'm crazy. What's the trick here? Does he need to break down the whole bike? Does he need to crate up the front end separately and crate the rest up or can it all go into one box? Can he just put the bike in one big crate without dismantling it at all? HELP!!! I want this puppie badly. Any help or advice would be great. I though DHL was the way to go but there not being very helpful. Maybe UPS? Thanks, Gary.

gas is always a big no no. They'll make you drain the tank but that's easy.

I just built one to send a roller Z 50 to a guy here. UPS wanted $186 to ship it to Cali! I am taking it apart and going to send it in several boxes. USPS is way cheaper! My crate was 55Lx20Wx28T and weighed 96lbs. loaded. |
