Whats is a fair asking price 1976 Lifan 110

This bike is nice and has the best I could buy at the time as it was my first build and I have learned alot.

76 Frame all cleaned and painted factory colors
new lifan 110 four speed Been arund the block maybe 20 times and never off road. Less than 20 miles total
new bars and controls
new tapered bearing and fork stiffners
new wheels
China tires new

well its all new except the frame, fork tubes, seat pan, brake hubs, tank (was painted with new decals) and risers.

What should I expect as I must sell this and a many more parts due to multiple family health issues.

Re: Whats is a fair asking price 1976 Lifan 110

Oh yes the family issues

I am writeing a book that no one will believe

Father in law (cancer) surgery 9 weeks ago and still sick

Mother in law (cancer) surgery the 25th of this month

Father (cancer) surgery 4 weeks ago

Wonderful wife of 23 years broke foot 2 weeks ago

Sad but I need cash to help support the family as my wife is off work for 6 weeks total.

I hate bills and I do not want to take a loan at the bank to care for them.

I can come back and build another later

My entire list of parts will be offered to PM members this weekend and then to fleabay

Put the bike complete on ebay. It's hard to tell value when people install non-stock motors in them. Sometimes they do fine and sometimes people want them original.

Clean bike, post up asking price when you get it figured out.

To get the most money out of it I'd say pull the motor and sell it off by itself, then sell the "Original Rolling Chassis" to somebody who wants a restoration jobbie and is going to put a honda motor in it.

That's if you're tryin to maximize your dollars. If you just wanna get something out of it, put it on fleabay and start it at $500.

Mike, I am so sorry to hear about your family. All the best to you and yours in this difficult time.

On the bike, if the original motor runs decent, clean it up, slap it back in for top $. That is a nice looking Z50 and would sell quick with the og motor. Do you have the original shocks and exhaust pipe too? Install them too.

Sell the Lifan, Minigunz pipe, Kitaco shocks on here or Ebay.

you guys are all crazy with your original motors new engines are a million times better. Faster, super relieable. Stock engines just suck balls. I would take a well done bike like this over a stocker any day. Love all the hard work put in like the kitaco shocks and minigunz pipe that is what a z50 is suppose to look like. God Bless

since when is installing shocks and a minigunz pipe hard work? the market is what it is, most people looking to buy old z's want honda motors in them and will pay more for them because honda engines are BETTER. lets see how well a lifan runs after 30 years of use and abuse. granted, they are low on power but that is nothing a 88 kit can't fix, and i'll guarantee an 88 race head honda motor will send that lifan 110 home with its tail between its legs

Re: Whats is a fair asking price 1976 Lifan 110

I personally don't even take the time to read descriptions when I see china motors in z50s.. They're kinda like girls with fake tits.. I might look at them for a moment, make a comment, whatever.. But you won't ever see me spending money on one. I like my bikes/girls to be naturally beautiful, and well dressed.

Get the motor cleaned up and maybe polish those Honda cases.. A little elbow grease goes a long way! Be sure to post up a link when you make your decision.

Godspeed.

If you can touch them, they're real.

Its like that with bikes/cars etc. What the flavor of the week is. Hardtails are drying up, guys that had softails as kids are looking for them now. Prices go up. 10-15 yrs from now guys that a 1995 Z50R as a kid will be looking for a "mint" (overly used word) one on Ebay.

5 years years ago at vintage meets you couldn't give away a MR50 or a MB50. Now look at the prices. XR75's for $300 in decent shape. Now look at what they bring. I had a excellent original 1973 KO ST90 w/ title. Sold it 5 years ago for $1400 what was crazy $ at the time for one. It was that nice though. Now they are getting pricey and the parts have dried up.

Re: Whats is a fair asking price 1976 Lifan 110

make it a stocker for sure.

I've bought lots of z's and I don't even consider them if it doesn't have a Honda motor.

Oh, and if you return this one to stock, then i'd be very interested in the Mini Gunz and shocks.

and if anyone has a Two Brothers Pipe for a hard-tail Z, then please let me know. Come on Razzo, I know you must have a spare.

I wish I did!!!!!!! I love those pipes. Bugged Scott at TBros to make more but said their done. Closest pipe to it is the Minigunz. Not as loud as the T Bros. a bit mellower. That TBros pipe just barked!

Hi Mike, I'm the other dude (exhaust and clamp).

Thanks for the heads up. No worries here, family is #1.
