| Who's parting out a 1980's Z50R?
I'm putting a 1984 z50r together. I got the rolling chassis from ebay for $81 and installed a stock ZB50 engine and wiring harness in it. Now I need a few things to get it running. If no one has what I need here, I'll troll ebay or resort to OEM parts from servicehonda.com What I'm looking for... Complete throttle assembly with on/off switch and front brake lever. Must have a decent throttle cable. Rear fender 3 number panels (front and both sides) & 1 rubber keeper for front panel Complate exhaust used chain w/master link Lemme know what you have and how much $ thanks! |

Do you have a chain cracker? If so, I have a couple of used chains with very low miles (less then 20) you can have for $5 plus actual shipping. I pulled it off my CT70 and it will need to have some links removed.

Brad thanks but I'm looking for the correct black one. I don't like the look of the chrome guard. I just missed one on ebay. It went for $46. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=4639663634 |

racerx actually the shifter doesn't fit on very deep. It's hits the CDI cover when I slide it on the shifter shaft more than 3/8". I did tighten it down on the outside part of the shifter shaft and it does hold ok but it won't slide all the way on without hitting the side case. Was this shifter from a ZB or another bike? Dan, I got a complete ZB wiring harness from ebay and ziptied it on the backbone this z50r. It came with the coil, cdi, flasher, rear brake light switch etc etc. I could hook up all the lights in the future. I'm wondering if I need to hook up a battery to run the bike as/is without any lights? Or do I need the battery to complete the circuit? Last edited by d0n; 05-18-2006 at 10:41 AM. |

It does go on the shaft and I was able to tighten it so it'll work. It's just not 100% correct. I could drop it waaaay down and it might clear but I don't wanna rip it off on a rock or stump. I'm glad to have it. I wouldn't have a shifter if you didn't send me this one! Thanks! ![]() | |
