| Will a BBR Handlebar Kit Fit a CT70?
My stock bars are bent and the trorttle is shot. I want MX style bars so I was thinking about a BBR kit. Which one fits, if any.

If you have a CT with the two piece upper triple (the bar mounts unbolt from the actual triple - I think these are 71 and later) then you can simply get a set of bar clamps off of any bike that uses 7/8" bars (most 70's and 80's bikes) and they bolt right into the original mount holes. Then just get a set of bars you like that have a clamp section that is wide enough and you are set. The pit bike custom kits I have seen are pretty expensive unless you gotta have the bling. My clamps cost under $20 bucks (wrecking yard or e-bay) and I had some old honda scrambler bars that fit perfectly. You can find lots of bars for under $30 a set online, or at wrecking yards or e-bay. ![]() The fit is nice, and it handles a lot better, especially on the street. |
