Will a Crf 50 Aftermarket exhaust fit the Ct70 Bikes? I see a few pics of bikes on Ebay with what looks to be a crf50 exhaust with no modifications done to it to fit the ct70's. Just wondering if anyone here has used it? |

sorry I was thinking crf50 to the crf70. I haven't tried this one. I do know with the yx160 you can run a klx110 pipe.

Custom exhaust shield on a stock CRF50 pipe. Needed to make a 2.5" rear hanger to match up. I just bought a used CRF70 pipe, and in comparison, seems to be about 3" longer overall length than the one used in the picture. |

so all you need to do is make a bracket for either pipe and they will work? all you need to do is decide weather you want a long or short pipe

That is correct. I am not at home right now, so can't compare the diameters, but I would assume the 70 may flow a bit better from the factory? A big plus for me is that the whole exhaust is fully USFS approved which makes it legal in the backwoods! Plus it has a much nicer tone than the stock CT pipe.

Now that is a good idea. Im starting to plan out my CT build and that looks like a good candidate. I need the spark arrestor too. | |

| Re: Will a Crf 50 Aftermarket exhaust fit the ct70 most good aftermarket crf50 and 70 pipes come with spark arrestors or you can buy them for a little extra so any pipe should work. but for a budget build the stock crf pipe would be decent, maybe a little restrictive on anything over 88 stock head

Well I bought a cheapie Crf50 exhaust on ebay for $40 shipped. It needed about $4 worth of nuts and bolts for the muffler to attach it to the spring stud.I will need a Re-jet as It will only run on half choke. It sounds pretty good, its Nice and deep at idle but maybe a just a little too loud for my 5am commute to work. I will be trying to baffle it down a bit. If anyone wants pics, I will take a few when I get home today and also get all the specifics on the nuts and bolts I used. I will also get the specific ebay seller name for you. It looks pretty much like the exhaust in the above pic of the blue ct70 and has a nice throaty idle with my 140cc Lifan. It isn't a show exhaust and has a few scratches here and there but Its ok for me Until I can afford something Nicer. Last edited by dsrt4; 11-22-2008 at 06:44 AM. |

Update? Did this exhaust work? Im looking to get an aftermarket exhaust for my ct70. It seems that getting one made for a crf50 is the cheaper way to go. Anyone else have success with crf 50 pipes on ct 70s? Anyone used this 28mm pipe from pitster? 28mm Exhaust System |

Yes it fits. You have to get creative at the shock mount to support the can but it's nothing a few minutes at a good hardware store can't fix. I need to re-jet or get a bigger carb for sure though. I have the same one thats on the blue bike in the above pic. I think it was $40 shipped or somthing like that. Good enough for me. |

This is an OGM/Pitster stainless exhaust on a CT. Almost a direct bolt on except for a small extension bracket in the rear. It's actually a pretty decent pipe for cheap money. (Butch wrapped it after burning off his leg hair riding in shorts) |

The Ogm pitster pipe looks great! Also, Hooper Imports has a Bike called the jackass. It's exhaust fits the ct70 frame as well with a little modifacation. It sounded great on the lifan ct clone with a 90cc I rode a few weeks ago. Heres the link to the exhaust, it was little hard to find the first time. I had a previous post regarding a sdg exhaust, I now can say it is a great pipe and very cheep. They raised their price but still under $30 shipped. will only need a mountaing bracket to shock to work on a ct70. I have put one on a z50r, crf50, and will be putting onne on a hardtail tonight or tom. buy one you'll be very supprised.
