Front end from a CRF will only fit if you use ALL the CRF front end parts(forks, wheels, bars, fenders, number plates). If you only want the one inch of travel that CRF50 have over Z50Rs, just pop out the springs and stick them on the Z legs. Or, if you want the fork guards, just take to whole inner assembly from the CRF. Other interchangeable parts are the entire rear wheel assembly with a longer swingarm (I think, not at all confirmed by me), the entire motor from an XR or CRF will bolt into the 1988 and newer Zs, footpegs, brake pedal, and I'm sure there are other things too.

what longer swingarm would you need. Do you have any pics of this setup or also post some pics of your setup and tell me what it is. Thanks Any pics of any special non stock z50 setup would be greatly appreciated.

I have an XR75 swingarm which needs slight modification to fit. It is 4 inches longer compared to stock. And 330mm shocks are also a good idea unless you want a chopper. This picture is with stock shocks. (265mm) My front end set up is Z outer tubes with Z springs and just CRF legs and guards. So it's all technically the same. The only difference is the brake panel is on the left side and I can run fork guards. But I will be adding some knock off conventional style oil fill forks which are an inch longer than stock for Zs. And I plan on also installing a 12 inch front wheel with disk brake, and a CT70 rear wheel, with the stock drum. ![]() ![]() |

The bars are Honda parts off of a 1979 Z50R. all you need to make it work is the 1979 brake cable. The other cables and wire reach if you re-route them. These are the last pictures I have of the bike fully assembled. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My bars. ![]() ![]() |

Dude, that's a Honda Z50R bottom end, TB manual clutch, and CRF50 top end with a TBQ race cam. Not some Chinese knock-off. I'm offended that you think it's not original(in some way).
