My 1972 CT70 is working great except the tail light and tail light switch. I tried hooking things up per the diagram on Dr ATV. Unfortunately this did not work and Im still struggling. Is there anyway to splice into the battery or any other wires that are close to there? Im really struggling here. Would a new wiring harness save me?

Just for grins, what kind of shape is the socket in? Any corrosion, white powder? I've had a couple of bikes that were wired correctly but would not work until I took a small wire wheel to them.

It appears to be brand new. I ordered a new bulb. It would be great if that was all it was.

Do you have access to a meter/multi testor?

Yeah I got a tester. Since then I ordered a new wiring harness from DrAtv and installed it today. The battery has now ceased to function by the head light was working and the tail light was working but the switch didnt trigger anything. Can someone tell me where to wire everything. The lowest red/green (in the rear section), then the middle red/ green, then the longest brown/ green. I am terribly confused and frustrated. Can anyone walk me through this.
