| XR75 forks on Z50
Has anyone done this before? I found a set for cheap, but I was wondering if there is a 12" that would fit or if even the stock Z front wheel could (brake tab). Any info would be a big help. Thanks in advance.

Using an '85 XR100 upper and lower triples allows you to slide the legs about 1 inch up into the upper clamp, but you have to do some extensive lathe work to the stem, and then extend the threads further down the stem, and then reweld it back into the lower triple. Using a Z front wheel will also require a lot of lathe work to the hub and brake panel to get it to fit between the fork legs with some clearance. |
