i have a Z50 hardtail frame, and the forks are shot, so i am going to get some new ones. will older years work? i know the wheel will fit but what about the steer tube length etc? thanks in advance

There are no older year Z50's than the hardtails.

You'll be fabricating as the hardtails had longer steerer tubes and later model (1972 to 1999) forks will not work on a hardtail frame.

The fork legs will work, but you'll have to run the hardtail triples...
