z50 Parts Madness!!!!!

I've been searching for z50's and came across this. Can anyone tell me what years z50's those are?

What are those rollers worth, about? All kinds of other parts laying their, they worth anything?

I dont need all this, just 1 z50 and 1 crf50.

Re: z50 Parts Madness!!!!!

Whatever you do, make sure you get that trick front wheel setup from the black one. Those square-profile studded industrial tires are great for aggressive off-road cornering, and the brakeless wheelbarrow wheel really reduces the unsprung weight at the front.

That is quite a haul. The red-tanked one is a '72-78 model, I believe. The other ones I'd call Z50Rs from the 80s, but I don't know the newer ones that well to identify features.

Re: z50 Parts Madness!!!!!

their is suppose to be a softtail z50 in there also. Is that the black frame and the bare tank to the right of it?

edit: see I'm lost in this z stuff. I thought the 90's they referred to as softtails. suppose to be a 90's model z50 frame in their, I see the rear fender and # plate.

The red-tanked one, with the big chrome exhaust heatshield, in front of the CRF(XR?) frame in back...that's a softtail Z50A from '72-78.

The other ones with the more teardrop-looking tanks...I know 1980s Z50Rs were shaped like that, but so were Japanese market versions and I still get lost in all that.

If you can afford it buy it. What you don't need might pay for what you really want. Just my 2 cents.

Re: z50 Parts Madness!!!!!

the white one might have the wrong tank and be the 90's model that you have the fender for.
I would but that though because there seem to be alot of good parts in there.

If you have the time to sort through all of it, figure out what exactly it all is, and sell off what you don't need its worth $800 because you've probably got more than that worth of parts if you clean them up and sell them.

Re: z50 Parts Madness!!!!!

The yellow one may be of interest as well. It certainly does not look like a Z50R. It has a headlight fixture and boots on the fork assy. The wheels have the circle cut-outs. If somebody had the time and knew what they were doing, they could easily put a nice bike together for themselves and then sell the rest out on ebay for 800 in parts.

guess I'm going to have to learn what all this is if I pick it up.

10-4, I definetly wont be needing all of this, I'm just going to piece together two of them and get rid of everything else. I will be in touch.
