| Z50 seat cover and bar suggestions
I'm having trouble finding an OEM looking seat cover for a 1983 Z50R. I can find covers, but they either don't contain the OEM markings or have only the "Honda" marking on the rear with out the side "Z" marking. Would someone please point me in the right direction. ![]() Also, if you care to suggest on handlebar height, I currently have BBR bars with an 8" rise on my CRF. I'm pretty comfortable with them as I like the height. I have been eyeing a set of pro-taper bars for my Z50 restomod, but I'm concerned about the bar height at 6.75". I have no experience with at 6.75" rise height bar. I'm curious what the communities thoughts are on this. Plus, are there any other bars I should consider besides the protaper or the BBR's?? I will be using 1971 SL70 risers. Many thanks! |

The BBR 8" rise bars will NOT fit the Z50 wide clamping area. I have tried the Pro Tapers 6.75" on one of my Z's, and they are definitely not tall enough for myself. I purchased some handlebars with the name of Wirtz off Ebay that have an 8" rise, AND will fit the Z50 wide clamping. The website is peeweecycle.com. Comes in Blue or black. It is tough to find an 8" rise handle bar that has a a wide enough bottom to work on the Z50's. These bars are the only set I know of. |

Check out Cosmicquads.com, they do reproduction seat covers for just about anything.

My Wirtz handlebars arrived. I'm quite impressed, the build quality and the looks are exceptional. I'm very happy with them. I think I'll get another set for my next project as well. Thanks! | |
