| z50r... might be buying, and WTB parts
First, I might be buying a 97 z50r, its got a xr50 engine in it now and comes with the stock motor too. The motor in it now has new piston/rings. How are these bikes for wheelies? I like doing circle wheelies and basic wheelie tricks on xr50s, but I dont know how these are. Its got a bar kit. I can wheelie a stock xr50 forever. I just want to make sure that these wheelie allright even with there big fat tires. Also, where can I get the rear plastics for it (preferably used). It doesnt have them. Ill try to get some pictures. If anyone has one, Ill buy it if I buy the bike. |

Z's are easier to wheelie than the XR's imo. try ebay for the plastics, those can be hard to find. I have the older steel tank Z but I know there are alot of Z guys on here. Someone may have found a source for those and post it for you.

circles on a Z are more difficult then on a XR/CRF

you can rock circles on a z fine, it just takes alot more effort to turn them in and keep the bike leaned

Heres the deal guys. I want to buy one for 400 dollars. Its a 97. It has an 03 XR50 motor in it now, and the stock motor has an 88 kit but its in a bunch of pieces. The bike was recently painted. It doesnt have any of the rear plastic. The tires are in good shape, tanks in good shape. It has a fast 50s bar kit. Its got a stock 50cc motor in it, and I would want to race it in the poorboy class that we have at the Master of Minis series. I was thinking a Z because it would be unique, nobodys got those around here. What do you guys think? 400 a good deal? |

You can also get the fender (and other parts) from the Cub clone which fit fine (note the petcock is different from the Honda) from Hooper Imports in Seattle. I was also able to get a full set of plastic from a fellow off of Ebay for a bit less money. I believe he went by the seller name of globalhondaparts or something like that.
