| z's with oil coolers. where to mount?
i'm having enough trouble fitting my 26mm carby in with the 140 engine, let alone the lifan oil cooler. do any of you guys use them? if so how/where do you mount them. the only place i can see it fitting is behind the headlight and make a mount to have the headlight sitting further out, or trim the headlight bucket, but even there the hoses that came with it are too short so i'd need new ones!

i am using the tb 20mm carb and tb oil cooler, and i ran into issues when i ran the lines with the exhaust pipe and the spark plugs(but i believe your hoses come from the cases?). so i ran it as far forward on the frame as i could, and also used a longer screw for the sparkplug(coil i think it is) and then put a bunch of washers behind it so it would not hit the cooler just some ideas take some pics for us if you can |

hmm yeah i wanted to mount mine where yours is but it's just too big. it has to be touching the head, manifold and frame, and still it is about 2 mm from the forks hitting it at full lock. i could extend my frame an inch or so and that would solve the problem, but that's something i really didn't want to do. do you have any issues with the forks hitting yours where it is? | |

no my forks are fine, and the tb oil cooler i am running is curved too, and i run it with the curved parts toward the forks, so your oil cooler must be huge you can run one line back into the case for now and run the bike. just make sure its hooked up right, or no oil will get to the head |

Dont know if this helps you at all. I just like posting my stuff...Flipping the bracket around seemed to work out better for my application and fit the contour of the frame better and still allowed the use of a head breather. |

Why don't you get some longer lines and mount it up front under the light or number plate

longer lines might be hard to get to match the lines it comes with an extra set or two of the same lines, and some work on oil passaged bolts, might get them long enough to reach that far |
