Carb Driving Me CRAZY!

06' KLX 110
Stock Carb, Taka 138 Big Bore, Pod Filter

The bike was running pretty good. Then sucked some dirt in the carb, (probably where there was no vent tube).. Cleaned the carb, bike ran good... Went to try some different jets and airbox combos.

Tried:
80 Main
38 Pilot w. the stock airbox, and with the pod filter...
Ran fast with the stock airbox and this jetting, but when I let off and get back on the gas, it would bog. Triend 42 pilot, same problem.

Tried 90 Main
42 Pilot with stock and pod ...

Went back to what was in originally with the pod, and now it runs like crap. Bogs hard wide open. I dont know what happened here, its just not running right. Tried cleaning the carb again, same problem.

Where should I go from here? Rejet totally, stock airbox back on?

Re: Carb Driving Me CRAZY!

You need to run a small piece of wire threw the main and all the holes on the pilot and blow out all the holes in the carb with copressed air , if that does not work you have a vacum leak some were , but try the wire , I had a simaler problem with my 50 took the carb apart 3 time to find it

Re: Carb Driving Me CRAZY!

Why would I need a new carb for this issue? I've never really had this problem before.. I will take the carb back apart and run some wire, to be sure before I spend hard earned dough on a bigger carb

Try taking the gas cap off and see if it runs smooth with it off. If you have a stub breather tube the float could be getting stuck.
