CHP Cable Clutch Problem

OK Guys I need your help. I got my chp manual clutch and i put it on everything was somewhat easy but then i ran into a problem. The clutch arm actuater (the thing one end of the cable pulls) is not working. I dont know whats wrong but when i pull the clutch lever in it stays in it doesnt go back out by itself. Was there something I needed to do. I think i put the tophat in the right way. I havent added oil as i do not want to drain it if it does not start. PLEASE HELP

you probably need to loosen the arm rotate the arm counter clockwise and put it back on. im not sure if its like that but if the arm has teeth that should do it.

Hmm i am not exactly sure kawifan...mine went so smooth and my dad helped me install it too. We used the CHP instructions which were really good IMO by the way..I know the cable they included had a lot of slack in it to and the cable feeds through part of the arm like the square piece and i had to do some adjustment at that end with the nuts to hold the cable tight then..ibmike soudns like he knows what he's talking about...not sure totally tho i am sorry i couldnt be as big of a help

ok, i think the problem might be the spring. When i push it by hand it sticks, it doesnt move back or anything? Are they supposed to do this?

The one on the clutch actuator arm, the thing that is attached to the clutch cover.

i dont kno..like i said my cable needes a good bit of adjustment on the perch and lever and also down by the case to get it to have a bit of action and good feel..i am running 4 heavy duty clutch springs by the way too. I dont know if you have a broken part or not..i'd recommend i guess at best get ahold of AHP minis where i got mine or even classic honda usa to see what they say..

Give TJ a call at Classic if you can't figure it out. He usually knows the answers to most of the stuff. 903-509-2727

ok today i called up CHP and they said they didnt know but that TJ would be there tomorrow. So to see it if helped i added oil basically the whole bottle that came with it and it didnt help the actuator snap back at all. I then started it and after it warmed up for like 5 minutes i tryed to shift so i hold the clutch back (its very loose and i have to push the lever back) and shift into first, it kicks forward and then immediatley shuts off. Ive never had a clutched bike before but i think its cause the clutch didnt engage. If anyone has anymore help id appreciate it. Thanks
