| High comp. piston for stock bore 110?
Is anyone running a high comp piston (11:1 to 12:5 to 1) on their stock bore 110? With a bigger cam will there be any clearance issues? Weisco makes these. I think a few make one for the stock bore? Last edited by filthyboatguy; 03-20-2006 at 01:00 PM. |

Is the bike still a 3 speed or have you put in the 4 speed shift drum? I have to keep an eye on what the competition is doing.... |

If I give Andrew the 108 he's gone, provided he can stay up in the dirt. | |

I say give him the 108 and let him hang on. I am hoping to have my 108 ready for Sunday, or a bike period to race this weekend.

might look to see if anybody offers a thinner head gasket as well, i prefer running a thinner head gasket and doing less milling because it reduces the quench which reduces your chances of detonation.

We sell a .5mm over for $70. Works great. Unless the motor is new, it likely needs a cleanup anyway, and boring to match the piston size is the correct way.

I ended up running the Weisco 53.5mm 11:1 and a TB 55mm stroker crank, works great! 124cc torquer! I think Anakur (sp) sells a 53mm hi-comp piston if you gotta stay honest. Lookit that beauty! Knife edged crank, lightened flywheel and cam sprocket, primary gear, 4th drum... Sleeper ![]() Last edited by filthyboatguy; 08-11-2009 at 10:58 PM. |

I've got a Wiseco .080 over high comp. piston in my bike with the Takagawa hyper cam. No clearance issues. I believe they still have the stock bore high comp. piston available. For the same price I'd go .080 if rules will permit you to.

My Mood: | Re: High comp. piston for stock bore 110? Akunar has the 53.5's left. There are some 53mm options, but they really aren't much better than the Wiseco.
