How do I get this KTM rear wheel to work? Sick tendencies setup?

complete ktm65 rear wheel w/ brakes

I want this rear wheel and brake setup but I don't know what it needs to fit on my 110, I have a sano LS8 swinger. Does sick tendencies make a kit for it? If so how much? Thanks

Just get a KX65 brake setup and stock wheel.

It would be about the same price and way less of a pain in the ass. You'll have to get spacers machined, ect. with that KTM setup

I have a set of KX65 brakes for sale. $50

for sure more problems are definitely not what I want haha, but for $160 it is a good deal. I'd love to find a wheel and brake setup but maybe I'll just buy em seperate.

Axle length is the same as stocker +/- a couple of mm (if I measured right and ktm parts spec is accurate). I have been trying to find the inside dimension but have not seen it.

Re: How do I get this KTM rear wheel to work? Sick tendencies setup?

The KTM swingarm is about 4" - 4 1/2" longer. The wheel spacing is about 1/8" - 3/16" skinnier. The pivot point is about 1/2" - 5/8" skinnier as well. Know this cause I am in the process of putting one on my bike now... Have had to do alot of cutting and moving things around to make the swingarm fit the chassis without modding the chassis....

Been reading for a while. Wanted to keep discution going. I have been riding KTM's for several years now and and comfortable with them. I have been trying to do research on this project and find very little info.

The swing arm project is not an easy one but the KTM suspention and brakes are proven and bullet proof.

More info please...

well im not sure it will be hard. . thats just what ive been seeing everyone say. . i measured the ktm65 swinger and my swinger and they are only 1/8 in different. and i measured the big minis hub i got and the ktm hub and they both 5 in. wide. i can get spacers made pretty easy. i think the hardest part is gonna be making a bracket for the master..... if anyone knows any definant info please share with me. thanks

Re: How do I get this KTM rear wheel to work? Sick tendencies setup?

Again,,, The front mount being skinnier is where the problem is. You either have to mod the chassis or widen the swingarm... The upper mount point may become a problem as well. Still researching and figuring out what to do there. Season is almost over so I will tearing my bike apart soon to see what needs to be done. I am trying to use all KTM stuff. I just happen to have it lying around from my son's racing. I will post pics and info when I know more. I don't want to speculate yet..

The season here never ends. Winter riding at 50 degress is even better than the summer.
